Officially.. Manchester United Announces the Dismissal of Rúben Amorim
Manchester United has dismissed Portuguese coach Rúben Amorim from his position as head coach of the first team, effective immediately, the club officially announced today, Monday.
Amorim, 40 years old, was informed of the dismissal decision after only 14 months in charge, following the recent collapse of relations between him and the club's management.
Darren Fletcher is expected to take over the team on an interim basis in the upcoming period until a permanent coach is appointed, as Manchester United is currently going through a sensitive phase both technically and administratively.
The dismissal decision came after Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Leeds United in the English Premier League in the match held yesterday, which was the last match led by Rúben Amorim as head coach of the team.
