The Moroccan national team secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations after defeating the Tanzanian team 1-0 in the match held on Sunday evening, as part of the round of 16, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, with a lack of clear chances from both sides, as the play was mostly confined to the midfield during much of the first half.

With the start of the second half, the "Atlas Lions" imposed their control over the course of the match and succeeded in raising the attacking tempo, allowing Brahim Diaz to break through the Tanzanian defense and score the winning goal in the 64th minute.

With this victory, the Moroccan team will face the winner of the match between South Africa and Cameroon, scheduled for Sunday evening at the Rabat City Stadium, starting at 10 PM Mecca time.
