A 1-1 positive draw decided the match between Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland in the encounter that brought the two teams together as part of the twentieth round of the English Premier League, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham opened the scoring in the match in the 30th minute through defender Ben Davies, ending the first half with the home team leading after an organized performance and relative control.

In the second half, Sunderland intensified their attacking attempts to equalize, which was achieved in the 81st minute when Brian Brobbey succeeded in scoring the equalizer, bringing the match back to square one.

With this result, Sunderland raised their tally to 30 points to be in eighth place in the Premier League standings, while Tottenham reached 27 points in thirteenth place.
