Zamalek Attempts Reconciliation with Mamdouh Abbas
Sports journalist Ahmed Hassan, a former Egyptian football star, confirmed that Zamalek's management is trying to reconcile with Mamdouh Abbas, the former club president, to help resolve some of the club's issues.
Hassan added in a television statement: "Zamalek's goal with these efforts is to salvage whatever can be saved within the club after the increase in complaints from players such as Abdel Hamid Maali, Salah Mosaddaq, and most recently Benteke."
He explained: "Mamdouh Abbas is known for his love of Zamalek Club, supporting the current board, and paying part of the players' salaries."
Zamalek will face ZED on Sunday, January 11th, in the sixth round of the group stage of the Egypt Cup.
