Monday 05-01-2026
The Spanish newspaper 'Sport' confirmed that Raphinha's return from injury has clearly changed Barcelona's performance in La Liga, as the team improved offensively and became more solid defensively, without suffering any loss since the Brazilian winger's comeback.

According to the newspaper, Raphinha was absent from the fields between September 26 and November 22 due to a muscle injury, before gradually returning in the match against Athletic Bilbao. Since then, Hans Flick's team has regained stability and identity on the pitch.

The newspaper pointed out that Barcelona played seven La Liga matches without Raphinha, achieving five wins and suffering two losses, with an average of 2.14 points per match. In contrast, the team played six matches with him present, winning all of them and achieving a perfect record of 3 points per match.

The report added that Raphinha's impact is not limited to results only but is also reflected in the numbers within crucial areas, as the goal scoring rate increased to 2.86 goals per match, compared to a significant decrease in goals conceded to 0.33 compared to 2 goals per match without him.

The newspaper highlighted that the role Raphinha plays in pressing and working without the ball, especially from the left side, gives Barcelona greater balance even during periods when the team does not show its best form, making him a key element in Flick's system.

The report referred to statements by Manolo González, Espanyol's coach, who described Raphinha as a decisive player, confirming that the numbers and collective performance prove that Barcelona becomes stronger and more effective with the presence of the Brazilian star.
