Monday 05-01-2026
The Spanish newspaper "Sport" revealed that Kosovan striker Visnik Asllani, a Hoffenheim player, attended the Catalonia derby between Espanyol and Barcelona from the stands of the Cornella stadium on Saturday evening, a notable move for a player considered one of the names being discussed by the Catalan club for the future.

Sport explained that Asllani attended taking advantage of the winter break in the German league, where he watched Hans Flick's team secure a victory over their local rival, before confirming his presence by posting a photo on his social media accounts.

According to the same newspaper, the 23-year-old Asllani is having an outstanding season with Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, having scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists in 17 matches. This has attracted the interest of Barcelona, as well as other major clubs like Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, as a potential option to replace Robert Lewandowski in the future.

The report indicated that the player expressed in October 2025 that playing for Barcelona was his greatest dream, later affirming his pride in the rumors about his future, while simultaneously focusing on finishing the season in the best possible way with Hoffenheim.

The report confirmed that the penalty clause in the original contract, scheduled to take effect next summer, ranges between 25 and 29 million euros depending on several variables, with its future becoming clearer starting in March, while Barcelona continues to monitor and wait.
