Spanish coach Xabi Alonso, head coach of Real Madrid, is looking for quick solutions to restore balance to the royal team, taking advantage of the situation of one of Al Hilal Saudi club's stars in the upcoming period.

Alonso focuses his attention on a prominent player in Al Hilal's ranks, benefiting from the stalled negotiations to renew his contract, aiming to sign him for Real Madrid either next summer or during the current winter transfer window at a lower cost.

The matter concerns Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves, who has entered the free period of his contract with Al Hilal, as his commitment to the Saudi club ends next June.

Spanish journalist Paco Gonzalez, presenter of the program “Tiempo de Juego,” confirmed that Alonso sees Neves as the most suitable option to restore discipline to Real Madrid's midfield after the failure of the Martin Zubimendi deal.

Zubimendi was a primary target for Alonso last summer, but the deal did not materialize due to Real Madrid's management insisting on having Aurélien Tchouaméni, before the player later moved to Arsenal.

Gonzalez explained that Alonso has directed his focus towards Neves, convinced of his technical abilities and experience in controlling the pace of the game.

Data indicates that Real Madrid's management may consider fulfilling Alonso's request this time, given the decline in results, hoping to improve overall performance and alleviate pressure on the coach.

Despite the team having players like Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga, Alonso believes that Neves possesses a distinctive vision and a high ability to build play from the back within the green pitch.
