Al-Ahli Shocks Al-Nassr and Records Their First Defeat in the League

Al-Ahli team achieved an exciting victory over their guest Al-Nassr with a score of three goals to two, in the summit of the thirteenth round of the Roshn Saudi Professional League, at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.

Al-Ahli entered the match strongly and missed early chances before the Englishman Ivan Toney succeeded in opening the scoring in the 7th minute after an outstanding effort by the Brazilian Galeno. Ivan Toney then added the second goal for Al-Ahli in the 20th minute, taking advantage of a clear one-on-one with goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi.

Abdullah Al-Amri reduced the score for Al-Nassr in the 31st minute before scoring the second equalizer with a powerful header in the 44th minute. At the start of the second half, the Turkish player Merih Demiral scored the third goal for Al-Ahli with a header, following a brilliant assist from Ivan Toney in the 55th minute.

The final minutes witnessed great tension, as the referee showed two red cards to Ali Majrashi of Al-Ahli and Nawaf Boushal of Al-Nassr.

Al-Ahli managed to maintain their lead until the final whistle, raising their points to 25 in fourth place, while Al-Nassr suffered their first defeat this season despite remaining temporarily at the top with 31 points.
