Al-Nassr Decides on the Future of Its Brazilian Goalkeeper Pinto
Friday 02-01-2026
Al-Nassr Club continues to stick to its plan regarding the future of Brazilian goalkeeper Pinto Matheus, as the current winter transfer window begins. The Al-Nassr management is working on marketing Pinto Matheus, as they aim to end his journey with the team during this January transfer window.

The Saudi sports newspaper Al-Riyadiyah reported that the Brazilian goalkeeper is no longer in the plans of Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, which prompted the management to search for suitable offers for his departure.

In the match between Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli in the thirteenth round, Pinto was excluded from the squad, with the young goalkeeper Raghad Al-Najjar being relied upon instead.

Jorge Jesus prefers to let go of Pinto to make room for signing a new foreign player in midfield or attack, while relying on Nawaf Al-Aqidi and Raghad Al-Najjar.

Pinto Matheus joined Al-Nassr coming from Brazilian club Atletico Paranaense in the summer of 2023 for 18 million euros. This season, he has participated in 10 matches, conceded 7 goals, and kept a clean sheet in 5 games, before his presence in the team’s lineup declined recently.
