Liverpool coach Arne Slut appeared in a press statement following the 0-0 draw against Leeds United in the nineteenth round of the English Premier League, at Anfield Stadium.

The coach spoke about the possibility of a penalty for the Reds in the first half: "There was a clear moment in the first half where we did not fall to the ground, which I understand because every time we fall to the ground, we don't get a penalty."

He added: "These are the fine margins. I see other teams falling to the ground in such situations, but we do not do that. We have fallen to the ground several times this season after mistakes and did not get a penalty."

He continued: "We usually talk about this issue and other players falling easily to get free kicks or other chances, but this is our nature."

He went on: "In the West Ham match, Lucas Paqueta tried with all his might to get a second yellow card, and his national teammate Alisson tried to help him avoid it. In the end, he got the second yellow card in that match."

He continued: "If fans or anyone else scrutinizes the matter, they will find moments where we fell to the ground and got nothing. In the end, this is our nature."

Regarding the draw: "The situation is different this time. In the previous match, we conceded a goal in injury time, but the final result of the two matches is a draw, which is disappointing. This is not the first time this season; with all our possession, we create chances, but I don't think they are enough, or maybe they should be enough if we look at the expected goals statistics, but we could have created more."

He concluded: "We were very close to scoring against Virgil, but we were unlucky, and we have conceded goals several times this season in matches like this, and this is a positive thing today, we kept a clean sheet, and that is why we got the draw today."
