The newspaper "Youm7" revealed that Al Ahly star Mohamed Magdy Afsha has given preliminary approval to join Ceramica Cleopatra Club in the current January transfer window.

The player stayed away from participating with the Reds in the matches by decision of the Danish coach Jes Thorup.

The newspaper added that the player was initially against the idea of leaving Al-Ahly, but he has recently started reconsidering and seriously thinking about Ceramica's offer.

It explained that there were several factors that prompted Afsha to consider leaving, one of which was Amr El Solia's impressive performance with Ceramica after his departure from Al Ahly.

Also, Afsha's lack of participation in matches and his advancing age, which may threaten his chances of being a regular starter in future games, were among the factors that influenced Afsha's decision to leave Al-Ahly.
