Farouk Gaafar, the former Egyptian football star, commented on the recent events at Zamalek Club.

Farouk Jafar said on the program "Ya Masa' Al Anwar" on the channel "MBC Masr 2": "I see football as a profession, and not just anyone can work in it."

Jafar explained that Zamalek Club is facing a major problem related to the management of the football department, emphasizing that this responsibility should be handled by football stars who have genuine football experience.

He added: "Al Ahly and Zamalek are different from any other club, and the management of football in these two giants must be in the hands of a former football player. Throughout history, we have seen great stars take on the responsibility of managing football at both clubs."

He continued: "Al Ahly and Zamalek are always competing for championships and titles, unlike other clubs whose goals are different, such as staying in the league or competing for a higher position."

He concluded: "The sporting director must be a specialist in football and have previous experience playing the game in order to succeed in his duties."
