Liam Rosnier, the French coach of Strasbourg, tops the list of candidates to succeed the Italian Enzo Mariska as Chelsea's coach, according to media reports.

The London club confirmed today, Thursday, in an official statement, the departure of Mariska from his position by mutual agreement between the two parties, after media outlets indicated a deterioration in the relationship between the coach and the club management.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea plans to appoint a new coach very soon, emphasizing that the process will not take weeks, and that the club is currently working on the list of candidates, headed by Rosnier, who is highly regarded after his successes with Strasbourg, with the final decision expected to be made in the coming days.

It is noted that both Chelsea and Strasbourg are owned by the same company, BlueCo, which enhances the possibility of a smooth transition. Strasbourg, under Rosnier's leadership, currently occupies seventh place in the French league standings with 23 points from 16 matches.
