Former Al Hilal President Reveals Surprise Regarding Ronaldo Negotiations
Thursday 01-01-2026
Prince Abdulrahman bin Musaad, former president of Al Hilal, revealed intriguing behind-the-scenes details about the Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo, stating that he had hoped to see him wearing the Al Hilal jersey during the recent FIFA Club World Cup held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Bin Musaed explained in his interview on the program "Fi Al-Marma" on Al Arabiya channel that Ronaldo has been a huge asset both on and off the field since joining Al-Nassr, thanks to his high charisma and significant investment value.

The former Al-Hilal president clarified, emphasizing that he does not wish for Ronaldo to transfer to Al-Hilal from a sporting perspective, considering that the benefits would be greater on the administrative and commercial levels rather than on the pitch.

He indicated that he preferred Ronaldo to join Al-Hilal in the 2025 Club World Cup, expecting that his presence would help reorganize the team and impose his own demands, which could bring about a positive change.

Bin Musaed predicted that Al-Nassr Club will be crowned champions of the Roshn Saudi League this season, attributing this to the positive changes the team has undergone, while also pointing out the unfairness of the competition between privately owned clubs and those owned by the state.

He addressed the issue of foreign-born players, explaining that initially there was a belief that there was a trend toward naturalization, but he later described the decision as poor due to signing players with high salaries without ensuring their consistent participation.

He concluded his statements by emphasizing that the participation of some foreigners has become dependent solely on injuries, which undermines the technical effectiveness and increases financial burdens, considering that the matter requires a comprehensive review.
