Trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano reported a real possibility of Spanish coach Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City next summer, a development that could open the door to a new chapter within the English club.

Romano explained that this information does not mean that Guardiola has made a final decision to leave yet; however, the idea of departure has become a possibility, while the English club has not yet made any decision regarding the coach's future.

He pointed out that Manchester City's management has already begun preparing alternative plans in anticipation of any potential decision, in order to ensure technical stability and avoid an unexpected coaching vacuum.

According to Romano, Enzo Maresca, the current Chelsea coach, is one of the names being considered by City as a potential candidate to succeed Guardiola.

It is noted that the Spanish coach's contract with Manchester City expires in the summer of 2027.
