Gradisar refuses to continue locally and seeks professional career abroad

Slovenian Nejc Gradisar, the first-team football striker for Al Ahly Club, welcomed the idea of embarking on a new professional experience outside the Egyptian league. At the same time, he firmly rejected the idea of being marketed locally in the upcoming period if he decides to leave the Red Castle.

Gradishar prefers to move to a foreign league, despite Al-Ahly management's efforts to market him within the Egyptian league, in an attempt to find a solution for his future in the coming period, whether through a loan or a permanent transfer.

Reports revealed that Al Ahly's management offered the player to several local clubs, most notably Ceramica Cleopatra, but the Slovenian striker insisted on pursuing an international career, awaiting a final decision regarding his status with the club, according to journalist Khaled Al-Ghandour.

Gradishar requires an annual salary equivalent to what he currently earns at Al Ahly, which is $1.5 million, to complete any potential transfer. In a related development, Al Ahly's football management has decided to impose a financial penalty on the coaching staff led by the Dane Jes Thorup, following their exit from the Egypt Cup, as part of the accountability policy implemented within the football department.
