Officially.. Zamalek Announces Acceptance of Abdel Raouf's Apology and Appoints His Replacement
Zamalek Club officially announced the acceptance of Ahmed Abdel Raouf, the team's head coach, apologizing for not continuing in his position.
Zamalek stated in an official statement: "The Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, in coordination with John Edward, the club's sporting director, has decided to accept the resignation of Ahmed Abdel Raouf, the head coach of the club's first football team, from his position. We also extend our thanks to him for the period he spent with the team."
The statement added: "The Board of Directors has assigned Tamer Abdel Hamid, Deputy Technical Director of the Youth Sector, assisted by Hazem Emam, Deputy Technical Director of the sector, along with the supporting staff present with the first team, to lead the club's youth team in the upcoming match against Al Ittihad Alexandria in the Egypt Capital Cup."
He added: "Consultations are underway with John Edward, the sporting director, to select the new coaching staff for the first football team, and an announcement will be made as soon as an agreement is reached with him to lead the team in the upcoming period."
Tomorrow, Thursday, Zamalek will face Al Ittihad Alexandria in the fourth round of the group stage of the Egypt Capital Cup.
