Moamen Suleiman Opens Fire After Loss to Baghdad Municipality
Tuesday 30-12-2025
Police Club coach Moamen Suleiman made frank and strong statements following the 2-1 loss to Baghdad Municipality in the Iraqi Stars League, during the ninth round.

Suleiman said: "I am at the disposal of the Police Club management, and my contract does not include a penalty clause. I consider myself one of this club; I have earned my living here, and I will not resort to legal action if the management decides to dismiss me."

Suleiman explained that fatigue has become evident among the players, pointing out that the match congestion has greatly affected their technical level.

He added: "I cannot rest the team's stars, and their performance has started to decline. Since the match against Al-Talaba, we have not had real training sessions; all we do are recovery exercises only."

Suleiman confirmed: "The large number of matches in a short period negatively impacted the team's performance. The current players cannot handle 50 matches in a season."

He continued: "We train on multiple fields and have not received the Police Club stadium yet. Sometimes, we have to cancel training due to rain and settle for indoor gym sessions."

He added: "The winter transfers represent the last hope to save the season, and the management is required to strengthen the squad if it wants to return the team to its normal state."
