Iraqi Rivalry to Sign Kuwaiti National Team Star
Tuesday 30-12-2025
One of the most prominent stars of the Kuwaiti national team is receiving increasing interest from Iraqi Stars League clubs, as the winter transfer window for the 2025-2026 football season approaches, which will officially start on January 15 and continue until February 15.

According to private sources, Kuwaiti national team player Eid Al-Rashidi has become a main target for two prominent Iraqi clubs, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Duhok, as both clubs seek to strengthen their squads during the winter transfer market, especially in the right-wing position that the player excels at.

The sources indicated that Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya’s coach Rashid Jaber has been following the player since his last participation in the 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar, where he expressed great admiration for his technical and physical abilities, and his ability to make a difference in the frontline.

The sources confirmed that Jaber is coordinating with Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya’s management to secure the necessary financial amount to finalize the deal, especially since the team is experiencing a state of technical stability this season, and the coaching staff believes that signing Al-Rashidi will provide the team with greater attacking strength alongside Harith Hatem and Issam Al-Subhi.

Meanwhile, Duhok club has not remained idle, as the same sources reported that coach Abdulghani Shahid has placed Al-Rashidi among his priorities in the winter transfer market, after demanding that the club management sign five players to strengthen the squad.

Duhok’s coach believes that signing a winger with Al-Rashidi’s qualities will provide the team with more attacking options, especially with the presence of star Peter Georgis, which will give the team greater diversity in wing play.
