The Saudi Football Federation issued an official statement today, Monday, strongly condemning the irresponsible remarks made by the President of the Palestinian Football Association, which included unacceptable insinuations and allegations that undermine the integrity of the sporting competition.

The Saudi Football Federation clarified that these statements involved mentioning the Saudi national team in a context unrelated to sports, following the Green Falcons' participation in the Arab Cup recently held in the sister country of Qatar, under the umbrella of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

The statement emphasized that the Saudi Federation categorically rejects any attempts to cast doubt or make accusations without evidence, affirming that such statements do not serve the spirit of sportsmanship and are inconsistent with the values upon which the Arab championships were founded.

At the same time, the Saudi Federation affirmed its full respect for the development of Palestinian football, while maintaining its stance against any accusations or insults that could provoke public opinion or harm the sporting relations between the sister federations.

The statement concluded by emphasizing that the highest goal of organizing the Arab championships is to strengthen the bonds of love and brotherhood among Arab peoples, away from any disputes or escalation that do not serve the interests of Arab sports.
