The Portuguese national team was crowned the Best National Team in the World for 2025 during the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony currently taking place in Dubai. The event, organized by the Dubai Sports Conference for the past 15 years, is attended by a distinguished group of football stars and officials from around the world.

The award was received by the President of the Portuguese Football Federation, Pedro Proença, who expressed his great happiness with this achievement, emphasizing that the award represents international recognition of the significant work carried out by the Portuguese national team in recent years.

During his speech, Provença praised the national team's star and captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, considering him the best player in the world, and emphasized that his presence is a source of pride and inspiration for Portuguese football and for the young players within the team.

This well-deserved crowning comes after the continental achievement attained by the Portuguese national team this year, following their victory in the UEFA Nations League title for the second time in their history, having first won the title in 2019, thereby strengthening their position among the top national teams in the world.
