Jonah Fabisch, the Zimbabwean player, confirmed that his national team was close to winning against Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Zimbabwe national team lost to the Egypt national team with a score of 2-1 in the first round of the tournament.
Fabisch said in statements to the "CAF" website: "In our match against Egypt, we were close to securing at least a point or even winning the game, if we had avoided some mistakes."
He added: "As for the second match against Angola, it was difficult at the beginning. Personally, I may have been a bit hasty at times."
He added, "But as a team, we defended well against most of Angola's attacks. Maybe we lacked a few centimeters, or perhaps a bit of composure. If we had that, we would have won the match."
