Monday 29-12-2025
Police Club coach, the Egyptian Moamen Suleiman, acknowledged Al-Talaba team's right to achieve victory during the match that brought the two teams together within the Iraqi Stars League competition for the eighth round.

Suleiman said in the post-match press conference: "Al-Talaba was the better side in the match and deserved the win fairly, and we did not deliver the performance we aspired to, neither technically nor physically, and we failed to execute what we planned before the match."

He added: "We entered the match under difficult circumstances, as we suffer from significant absences due to injuries and fatigue, alongside some players' commitments with their national teams, and this is considered one of the toughest periods the team has experienced in many years."

He continued: "Despite these circumstances, we do not seek excuses, nor do we blame the players; everyone bears responsibility, whether the technical staff or the players, and we must bear the consequences of this loss with a spirit of responsibility."

Suleiman explained: "We were not at our best, and we lacked focus at many moments, and the offensive effectiveness was not at the required level, which made it difficult for us to come back in the match."

He concluded by saying: "The journey is still long in the league, and we must work calmly to address the mistakes and correct the course in the upcoming matches, and we promise our fans to work hard to return to positive results as soon as possible."
