The Malian national team forced a draw against their Moroccan counterparts with a score of one goal each, in the second round of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations, in the match held at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex.
The match referee awarded a penalty kick in favor of the Moroccan team, which Ibrahim Diaz took and scored, giving the Atlas Lions the lead in the 45+5 minute.
In the 64th minute, the Malian team scored the equalizer through Lassine Sinayoko from a penalty kick.
Morocco raised its points to 4, leading Group A, while Mali raised its points to 2, in second place.
