Al-Riyadh Club of Saudi Arabia plans to strengthen its attacking lineup by signing Saleh Al-Shehri, the striker of Al-Ittihad Club, on a loan deal during the upcoming winter transfer window until the end of the current season.

The Saudi sports newspaper revealed that the management of Al-Riyadh Club has submitted an official letter to their counterparts at Al-Ittihad, requesting to loan Saleh Al-Shahri during the upcoming winter transfer window.

The newspaper explained that Al-Riyadh Club's move came based on a direct recommendation from the Uruguayan head coach Daniel Carreño, who sees the player as an important addition to the team.

The same sources confirmed that the management of Al-Riyadh Club has expressed its full readiness to cover Saleh Al-Shahri's salaries until the end of the current season, in case a final agreement is reached with Al-Ittihad.

On the other hand, the Saudi club Al-Shabab entered the negotiations, opening communication channels with Al-Ittihad's management to loan the same player until the end of the season.

The conflict between Al-Riyadh and Al-Shabab is intensifying, as both parties are eager to finalize the deal quickly, taking advantage of the player's situation within Al-Ittihad this season.

It is worth noting that Saleh Al-Shehri scored only one goal during his participation in 12 matches wearing the Al-Ittihad jersey, which has opened the door to the possibility of him leaving on loan.
