Journalistic reports have revealed significant developments in the negotiations for the transfer of young striker Hamza Abdel Karim from Al Ahly SC of Egypt to FC Barcelona during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Barcelona's interest in the player, who stood out with Egypt's under-17 national team at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar, comes after his impressive technical performance and goal-scoring ability, which have made him a focal point of attention for the Catalan club.

The Spanish newspaper "AS" explained that Barcelona plans to sign Hamza Abdel Karim on loan initially, with the intention of joining the reserve team to start his journey within the club, while considering the possibility of promoting him to the first team in the future.

Despite the player's strong desire to move to Barcelona to advance his career in Europe, the deal faces a financial obstacle. Al Ahly is demanding 5 million euros for his transfer, while Barcelona has made an initial offer of 1.8 million euros, contingent on reaching an agreement to sign him after the loan period ends.

The newspaper confirmed that the financial gap between supply and demand is the main obstacle to completing the deal at the moment, but negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing in an attempt to reach a solution that satisfies both parties.

Sources expect the negotiations to be finalized in the near future, as Barcelona is keen on signing the young striker and giving him the opportunity to develop within the Spanish club's academy.
