The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that Barcelona defender Jules Koundé took advantage of the Christmas holiday period to travel to Benin to participate in a humanitarian initiative with a charitable nature, benefiting from his family origins that trace back to the African country.

The newspaper explained that Koundé's parents come from Benin, which motivated the player to dedicate part of his vacation to supporting people suffering from difficult conditions and contributing to helping the most vulnerable and impoverished groups.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Koundé participated in one of the sessions of the "Ecris ton hymne" project supervised by the "Patrimoinezer" association, which aims to develop the creative abilities of children and youth through values inspired by the Olympic spirit. He spent more than three hours with about fifty boys and girls in a unique humanitarian experience.

The newspaper added that the Barcelona defender did not limit himself to a symbolic presence but ensured direct interaction with the children, giving them shirts and footballs bearing the club’s logo, and also played with them barefoot in the street amid an atmosphere full of joy.

The report confirmed that Koundé’s initiative represents a new solidarity gesture reflecting the increasing involvement of Barcelona players in charitable work, whether individually or through the club’s foundation, to support needy communities around the world.
