Al Hilal club management has finalized its stance on the future of Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves, following complications in the negotiations to renew his contract, which have reached a complicated stage in recent days.

Al Hilal's management has initiated negotiations with Neves to extend his contract, which currently runs until the end of the 2025-26 season, in an effort to retain one of the team's key players.

The Portuguese player's delayed response to the renewal offer sparked speculation, especially amid rumors suggesting his desire to end his stint in Saudi Arabia and return to the English Premier League.

Several major European clubs have been reported to be interested in signing Ruben Neves during the upcoming winter transfer window, which begins at the start of January.

Sports journalist Abdulrahman Al-Jammaz revealed that Al-Hilal's management has made a clear decision not to allow Neves to leave during the winter transfer window, even if official offers are received.

Al-Jamaz confirmed that the player will remain with Al-Hilal until the end of the current season and will not be released during January, given the team's technical need for him.

Ruben Neves will enter the free agency period of his contract with Al Hilal at the beginning of next January, giving him the right to sign with any club. It is worth noting that he joined Al Hilal in the summer of 2023, coming from Wolverhampton on a three-season contract.
