A report published by "Transfermarkt" revealed updates on the negotiations between Spanish club Barcelona and Egyptian club Al Ahly for the signing of the young player Hamza Abdel Karim.

Osama Rokha, the data scout for "Transfermarkt" in Egypt, said that Barcelona has made a new offer to acquire Hamza Abdel Karim on a free loan with a purchase option of one million euros, in addition to three million euros in add-ons and a percentage of the resale.

He added: "Al Ahly considers Hamza Abdel Karim a gem they will not easily let go of, and it is the same club that sold Wissam Abu Ali in the second largest transfer in the history of the Egyptian league for 6.4 million euros after the World Cup."

He spoke about Hamza Abdel Karim, saying: "Hamza is currently considered the greatest talent in Egypt and the fourth youngest Egyptian player to participate in the Africa Champions League when he appeared against Algeria's JS Kabylie in a match that ended in a 4-1 victory for the Reds."

He explained: "Al Ahly's management expects to break the record held by Ivona as the most expensive player ever sold in the history of the league, when he was sold to the Chinese club Tianjin Teda in 2016 for 7.25 million euros."
