Portuguese midfielder Rúben Neves, who plays for the Saudi club Al Hilal, has made his final decision regarding his football future as his current contract approaches its end.

Neves decided to pursue a new experience in European football after settling on not renewing his contract with Al-Hilal, which officially ends next June.

The Saudi newspaper Al-Yaum reported that Ruben Neves has decided to move to Spanish club Real Madrid on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with the Blue team.

The same newspaper confirmed that Real Madrid's management has reached a verbal agreement with the Portuguese player, paving the way for his joining the royal club during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The attempts by Al Hilal club management over the past few months to convince Neves to stay and extend his contract have failed, despite the offers made and his significant importance to the team.

Robin Neves joined Al Hilal in the summer of 2023, coming from English club Wolverhampton for 58 million euros, and quickly established himself as a key player in the lineup.

European press reports have linked Neves with several major clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid, before the destination was finalized in favor of the Spanish club at the end of the current season.
