Shobier Criticizes Egyptian National Team Duo
Former Al Ahly star and media personality Ahmed Shobier criticized the Egyptian national team duo Ahmed Sayed Zizo and Ibrahim Adel.
The Egyptian national team defeated the Zimbabwean national team 2-1 yesterday, Monday, in the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Shobier said in a radio interview: "As for Zizo, you came on in the 66th minute, and we had already scored the equalizer. People had a lot of confidence in you to score because you are a great player. You worked well on the right side, so we need a bit more focus from you. You're not nervous; you are a great player."
He added: "Ibrahim Adel, we are all very happy for you and we say that this boy is going to make a big impact, the future is with him. Yesterday, he took three shots from the edge of the penalty area that weren’t very good. If you play with your teammates using give-and-go passes, it would be better. You don’t have to shoot every time unless the situation is good and the angle is open. Change and vary your play."
