Egypt Turns the Tables on Zimbabwe in the Africa Cup of Nations
The Egyptian national team achieved a 2-1 victory over the Zimbabwean national team in the match held on Monday evening as part of the first round of the group stage in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Prince Dube scored Zimbabwe's goal in the 20th minute, after a ball reached Dube who received it and shot it into the net past goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy.
The Egyptian team equalized through Omar Marmoush in the 64th minute with a shot from inside the penalty area, while Mohamed Salah added Egypt's second goal in the 90+1 minute after a ball reached him inside the penalty area and he shot it low into the net.
With this result, Egypt's points rise to 3, placing them second in the group standings, while Zimbabwe occupies third place with no points.
Egypt's next match in the tournament will be against South Africa and will be played next Friday at Adrar Stadium.
