A Positive Factor Motivates Al-Shorta Before Facing Al-Ahli in the Elite AFC Champions League
Sunday 21-12-2025
Al-Shorta team relies on an important positive factor before its match against Saudi Al-Ahli, in the sixth round of the Elite AFC Champions League.

Sources said: "The Iraqi team has finally regained most of its injured players who were absent during the past period, including the Nigerian professional Abdulmajid Bou Bakr, as he has joined the group training sessions and showed readiness to participate in the matches, with his participation still subject to the decision of the technical staff led by Moamen Soliman."

They added: "With the return of the injured players and the internationals in the Iraqi national team, as well as the Syrian professional Mahmoud Al-Mawas, everyone showed a great level of discipline, which formed an important positive factor for the Egyptian coach Moamen Soliman, who confirmed to his players that he relies on this great spirit to achieve victory over Al-Ahli team tomorrow, Monday."

The sources explained: "Coach Moamen Soliman is trying to focus on the positive aspects within the team, hoping that they will contribute to reducing the technical gaps with the competing teams in this tournament, especially since Al-Shorta has been unable to keep pace with the teams in this year's edition, as it has only earned one point from its draw with Qatar's Al-Sadd in its first match."

They continued: "The Iraqi team, after a series of negative results in the Elite AFC Champions League, has become convinced that it will not be able to qualify for the next round of the tournament, but at the same time, it seeks to complete its remaining matches in the best possible way, by first avoiding heavy losses and striving to achieve victory, especially in tomorrow's match which will be held in Baghdad."
