Moamen Suleiman, coach of Al-Shorta team, confirmed that his team will perform at a level befitting them in their match against Saudi Al-Ahli, as part of the AFC Champions League Elite competition.

Al-Shorta is scheduled to face their guest Al-Ahli at Al-Zawraa Stadium in the capital Baghdad, as part of the sixth round of the continental tournament.

Moamen Suleiman said: "Tomorrow we will face a great team and the champion of the previous edition, whose technical performances do not reflect the results achieved so far in the AFC Champions League Elite. Therefore, we hold them in the highest regard."

Suleiman added: "Al-Shorta missed the final touch in its previous matches in the Champions League, and luck has let us down in many games. Tomorrow you will see a technical level worthy of Al-Shorta despite the difficulty of the encounter, and for this, we promise the fans to deliver a distinguished performance."

Moamen continued: "Al-Shorta's physical level does not drop after the 60th minute, as evidenced by statistics and my observation of previous matches. The team is ready and gives its all until the end of the matches, especially since discipline is the most prominent feature of the Green Harp players."

He added: "There are technical differences between us and the other teams in the AFC Champions League Elite, but our team always enjoys good technical focus, and reducing individual errors will positively affect the match result, which we hope will be in our favor."

He pointed out: "We must be cautious of Al-Ahli team, which has water and seven professionals, any coach would wish to have one of them. On a personal level, I will not change my method and will always strive to bring out the best technical and physical capabilities of the players."

He concluded by saying: "We needed a bit of luck in previous matches. The refereeing was generally good, but we were subjected to some decisions that affected the match results. We try to make up for what we missed and learn from every match we participate in the tournament."
