Qatari Offer Chases Gradisar and Financial Conditions Complicate His Departure from Al Ahly
Sunday 21-12-2025
Slovenian Nejc Gradisar, a forward for Al Ahly's first football team, has received an official offer from a club in the Qatari league to sign him in the upcoming period, amid increasing activity in the transfer market aimed at strengthening the attacking line.

During the program "Stad Al-Mahwar," journalist Khaled Al-Ghandour revealed that Gradishar demanded the same salary he receives at Al-Ahly, which is close to 1.5 million dollars annually, in order to agree to leave. He confirmed that financial factors will be decisive in his decision regarding his future.

Al-Ghandour explained that the Slovenian striker has several other offers besides the Qatari one, most notably from clubs in Slovenia, Russia, and Denmark, reflecting the growing interest in securing his services at this time.

In a related context, Al-Ghandour pointed out that Al-Ahly's planning committee, headed by Mokhtar Mokhtar, presented the idea of loaning Mohamed Shokry to the Danish coach Jes Thorup during the winter transfer window. However, the coach refused to make a decision without securing a suitable replacement.

The contract with Tawfiq Mohamed, the left-back of Petrojet, was stipulated in conjunction with Al Ahly nearing the finalization of the deal for the Moroccan player Youssef Belamri. The matter is still under review until the negotiations are conclusively settled.
