Engineer Hani Abu Rida, President of the Egyptian Football Association, emphasized that the strategy for developing Egyptian football, extending until 2038, includes clear and specific goals based on a comprehensive vision aimed at advancing the football system at both the continental and international levels.

Abu Reida explained in a press statement today, Saturday, that the delay in announcing the strategy was due to waiting for the official and organized announcement from the African Football Confederation (CAF) regarding the new tournament system. He confirmed that this matter had been under careful study and close monitoring during the past period.

The president of the Football Association pointed out that his commitment to aligning the national strategy with both the continental and international systems stems from his membership in the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF), ensuring integration between local development plans and the requirements of global football.

Abu Reida emphasized that the upcoming phase will witness comprehensive changes in the local competition system, with top priority given to preparing the national teams across various age groups based on modern technical and organizational foundations. He affirmed that the new plan is the result of a collective effort involving state institutions, led by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to achieve the future ambitions of Egyptian football.
