According to press reports, Spanish coach José Ribeiro, the former manager of Al Ahly, is close to taking over as the head coach of a Swedish club.
The Swedish newspaper "Expressen" reported that the Spaniard Ribero is the leading candidate to take over as head coach of the Swedish club AIK.
The same newspaper pointed out that Ribeiro is competing with Olof Mellberg for the position of head coach of AIK Stockholm, but Mellberg is considered the Swedish team's first choice.
