Patrice Motsepe, President of the African Football Confederation, affirmed that the AMCI Fan Zone in Rabat, launched by the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, reflects Morocco’s commitment to giving the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations a human and cultural dimension through an interactive space that allows African youth to participate and celebrate the shared values of unity and diversity within the continent.

During his speech on the occasion, Motsepe highlighted the Kingdom's leading role in serving the African continent, expressing his gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation, and Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, for their continuous efforts to successfully organize the tournament according to the highest standards.

The president of the CAF explained that Morocco aims to establish an African model based on solidarity and the sharing of opportunities, noting that the kingdom hosts students from 48 African countries through cooperation programs, making it a space for meeting and building a shared future.

The AMCI Fan Zone area includes five integrated interactive spaces, featuring a sports activities zone called "Play and Football," a "Watch and Celebrate" space for following matches on giant screens accompanied by musical performances, as well as areas dedicated to African culture, games and technology, and a discussion and inspiration space that hosts seminars and open intellectual gatherings.

The region will also broadcast 46 out of 52 matches live, achieving a coverage rate of up to 88%, in addition to more than 80 hours of interactive follow-up, cultural and artistic shows, and a student league featuring 27 matches, with an expected attendance of over 50,000 visitors throughout the tournament.

This initiative embodies the Moroccan vision that positions sports and culture as essential tools of African diplomacy, enhancing the Kingdom's role as a key player in uniting the continent through football—not merely as a sporting competition, but as a human bridge that brings its peoples together.
