Increase in the Africa Cup of Nations Champion Prize
Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football, announced during a press conference today an increase in the prize money for the winner of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Motsepe confirmed that the prize money has been increased from 7 million dollars to 10 million dollars.
During the press conference, Motsepe stated that this step reflects the ambition of the African Union and the growth of the competition, alongside the increasing belief in the value of African football and its ability to develop and compete at the highest continental and international levels.
The Africa Cup of Nations tournament is being held in Morocco, starting tomorrow, Sunday, and will continue until January 18th.
