The Spanish Football Federation has announced the referee for the Barcelona vs. Villarreal match in the Spanish League, scheduled to take place on Sunday at 5:15 PM Cairo time at the La Cerámica Stadium.

The match will be officiated by international referee Javier Alborola Rojas, marking the ninth game he has managed this season. He will be assisted with video technology by referee Valentin Pezzarro Gomez.

Alberola Rojas also officiated the Valencia vs. Villarreal derby at the Mestalla Stadium, which ended with a 2-0 victory for Villarreal.

Statistically, Spanish referees have officiated Barcelona's matches 11 times, during which the team achieved 8 wins, 2 draws, and suffered a single loss against Real Sociedad, 2-1, in May 2023.

As for the Villarreal team, he managed 16 matches for them, achieving 7 wins, 6 draws, and 3 losses, the last of which was in the 33rd round of last season against Celta Vigo, losing 3-0 at the Balaídos stadium.
