Italian press reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed that AC Milan is closely monitoring the situation of German international defender Niklas Süle, who plays for Borussia Dortmund.

The newspaper indicated that Milan's management places Süle (29 years old) among its top priorities to strengthen the defense during the upcoming transfer window.

This interest comes amid the fact that the player's contract with the German club extends until the summer of 2026, a situation that might lead Borussia Dortmund to consider selling him in the winter.

Despite Milan's clear desire to sign the solid defender, the biggest challenge facing the Italian club is Süle's financial demands, as he is one of the highest-paid players at the German club, earning around 14 million euros annually, which could be an obstacle to completing the deal, as Milan's management seeks to maintain a balanced salary cap within the club.
