Mastantuono Requests to Leave Real Madrid
Friday 19-12-2025
The young Argentine Franco Mastantuono, an 18-year-old attacking midfielder, has requested to leave Real Madrid during the winter transfer window, according to the website "Fichajes."

Sources explained that Mastantuono's request is linked to his dissatisfaction with the limited playing time he has received recently under the management of Xabi Alonso, which has led him to feel that his professional progress has stalled, especially with the 2026 World Cup approaching.

The player's entourage believes that a six-month loan would be the ideal solution to regain his form and maintain his competitive readiness, while emphasizing his long-term commitment to the club's project.

This decision is also related to his desire to shine in front of Argentina’s national team coach Lionel Scaloni, as the player sees regular playing time as essential to remain in the national team selection, despite having played 756 minutes in 14 official matches. However, his goals and assists were not enough to guarantee a starting spot, which pushed him to request a loan to restore his level.

Reports indicate that Real Madrid's management is currently studying the player's future, taking into account his professional ambitions and the club's desire to retain its young talents. Several clubs have shown interest in taking Mastantuono on loan until the end of the season, aiming to give him a chance to play regularly and prove his readiness for higher levels.

Next week will be decisive in determining whether Real Madrid will accept the player's request or try to convince him to wait, making Mastantuono's future one of the most prominent sports issues in the winter transfer market.
