Al-Zawraa Awaits Abdullah Naseeb's Return to Decide His Future
Al-Zawraa club is waiting for the return of its Jordanian defense star Abdullah Naseeb after his participation in the 2025 Arab Cup ends, as he is playing with the Al-Nashama national team in the final match today, Thursday.
Sources said: "The management of Al-Zawraa club is very pleased with the performances of defender Abdullah Naseeb with the Al-Nashama team, and his ability to help his team reach the final match, in addition to his teammate Nizar Al-Rashdan, as they receive congratulations from their teammates, and everyone is waiting for Al-Nashama to be crowned with the title."
They added: "The Al-Zawraa management is following what is being published here and there about professional offers for the Jordanian defender, but they rely on the player's desire to stay with the Eagles and respect his loan contract, which lasts until the end of the current season. However, the management is at the same time concerned about serious offers that might push him to leave the team in the near future."
They explained: "Al-Zawraa club management is waiting for Naseeb’s return in the coming few days to talk to him frankly, especially since the defender is considered an untouchable element for the management, as well as for the Egyptian coach Emad Al-Nahas, who relies on him in the starting lineup for all the team's matches."
They continued: "Based on the meeting that will be held with Naseeb, the club management will determine the alternatives and potential goals in the defense line in case the player considers leaving the Eagles quickly, as the club seeks to maintain the strength of the back line, which also includes Akam Hashim and Maytham Jabbar, who shone in the Arab Cup with the Lions of Mesopotamia."
They concluded by saying: "The Jordanian defender is an important element in the team’s project, and until the end of his loan from the Jordanian club Al-Hussein Irbid, Al-Zawraa management will work to sign him permanently with a long-term contract, to keep him with the Eagles for as long as possible, especially since the team aims to reach the furthest point in the AFC Champions League 2."
