Atlético Madrid qualified for the Round of 16 in the Copa del Rey after defeating Atlético Baleares 3-2 in the match between the two teams in the Round of 32 of the competition.

Atlético Madrid opened the scoring in the 16th minute through Antoine Griezmann, before Giacomo Raspadori extended the lead by scoring the second goal in the 20th minute. Atlético Baleares managed to reduce the deficit by scoring their first goal in the 28th minute through Gerardo Ponié.

In the second half, Antoine Griezmann returned to add Atletico Madrid's third goal in the 72nd minute. Atletico Baleares missed a penalty in the 80th minute through Jaume Tovar, before Mohamed Keita scored Baleares' second goal in the 90th minute from a penalty kick.

With this result, Atlético Madrid secured their qualification to the Round of 16 in the Copa del Rey, allowing them to continue competing in the tournament.
