Al Ahly Plans Swap Deal with Ceramica in January
Al Ahly Club is considering a swap deal with Ceramica Cleopatra Club during the upcoming winter transfer window, which begins at the start of January, as part of its efforts to strengthen certain positions within the team before resuming the season's competitions.
According to press reports, Al Ahly is looking to sign Ahmed Hani, the right-back of Ceramica Cleopatra, on loan during the January transfer window, with the aim of strengthening the right flank of the Red team, especially given the lack of stability in securing a key player in this position.
According to Al-Youm Al-Sabea newspaper, Al-Ahly's management is considering loaning Omar Kamal Abdelwahid to Ceramica Cleopatra for six months, in exchange for acquiring Ahmed Hani during the same period. The player's performance will be evaluated at the end of the season before making a final decision to either sign him permanently or return him to his original club.
The head coach of Al-Ahly, the Danish Jes Thorup, welcomes the departure of Omar Kamal, as he is not convinced by his performance during the few appearances he made this season.
On the other hand, Ceramica Club has shown a strong interest in signing the player, based on the request of head coach Ali Maher. Al Ahly is looking to take advantage of this to finalize the deal for Ahmed Hani on a loan basis until the end of the current season.
