Jaissle Plans One Final Friendly Before Facing Iraqi Police
German coach Matthias Jaissle, head coach of Al-Ahli Jeddah, has decided to play one final friendly match in the coming days as part of the final preparations before facing Al-Shorta of Iraq in the AFC Champions League Elite, scheduled for next Monday.
This decision came in light of the postponement of the tenth round matches of the Roshn Saudi League, due to the national team's qualification for the semifinals of the Arab Cup "Qatar 2025," which gave the clubs' technical staff an opportunity to reorganize their training programs.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah," Yaislah wishes to complete the preparation period by playing an additional friendly match, aiming to enhance the players' technical and physical readiness before returning to official competitions. This comes especially after the recent friendly loss to Morocco's Raja Club, with a score of 1-2, in the match held at Prince Mohammed Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium at the club's headquarters last Friday.
Al-Ahli Saudi FC is expected to play three important matches during the current month of December. They will start with a match against Al-Shorta of Iraq on December 22 in the AFC Champions League Elite stage, followed by games against Al-Fateh and Al-Fayha in rounds 11 and 12 of the Roshn Saudi League on December 26 and 30, respectively.
