French coach Hervé Renard, head of the Saudi national team, clearly affirmed his position following their exit from the Arab Cup semifinals against Jordan, emphasizing that he is ready to leave immediately if asked to do so.

Renard spoke during the press conference for the Saudi Arabia vs. UAE match for third and fourth place, stating that the Green Falcons delivered a good technical performance against Jordan despite the loss.

The coach of the Saudi national team explained that possession and statistics were in favor of his team, and that knowing Jordan's style did not translate into goals, despite having two clear scoring opportunities that were not capitalized on.

Renard pointed out that keeping his position is not a personal decision, emphasizing that the nature of football requires accepting any administrative decision. He added that the responsibility would not fall on him if he were to be replaced.

The French coach addressed the absence of titles since 2003, questioning the reasons behind this dry spell, and emphasizing that while talent is available, the current phase requires greater effort and more comprehensive work.

Renard spoke about the upcoming World Cup, considering it to be completely different, especially with the challenge of facing Spain, known for their control and possession, which requires higher readiness and greater competitiveness.

Regarding the technical options, Renard explained that Sultan Mendesh is a good player but currently lacks international experience, emphasizing that they will continue to monitor young players in preparation for upcoming competitions.
