Young Brazilian forward Ryan Vitor Rocha, the star of Vasco da Gama, has entered the radar of Barcelona's management after his outstanding performances in the Brazilian league this season, according to the Spanish newspaper "Sport".

The newspaper stated that Ryan, 19 years old, has become one of the most prominent discoveries of Brazilian football in 2025, after winning the Best Rising Player award in the league following an exceptional second half of the season, during which he led his team to qualify for the Brazil Cup final for the first time in 14 years, thanks to his goals and decisive offensive contributions.

The newspaper explained that the player, a left winger, possesses great physical abilities and is sometimes relied upon by his coach as a false striker. Ryan has scored 20 goals and provided one assist, including 10 goals in the last 15 official matches.

The newspaper added that Ryan recently renewed his contract with Vasco da Gama until 2028, with a significant salary increase that made him one of the highest-paid players on the team, confirming his continuation with the club and ruling out a departure during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Regarding Barcelona, the newspaper pointed out that Ryan's talent explosion did not go unnoticed within the Catalan club, where sporting director Deco knows him well from years ago and had recommended him to the club in 2022 when he was still 15 years old.

The report confirmed that Ryan possesses the qualities Barcelona's management is looking for to strengthen the attacking line in the future, given his ability to play in multiple attacking positions, with close monitoring of his development in the coming phase.
