Brazilian club Cruzeiro has officially announced the appointment of Tite as the team's new head coach, marking the experienced manager's return to the Brazilian league following his recent stint with Flamengo after leaving the national team.

Tite is considered one of the most prominent coaches in Brazil in recent years, having led the Brazilian national team in the last two World Cup editions. His tenure ended after the Qatar 2022 World Cup, amid mixed opinions regarding the outcomes of his tenure and the team's performance in major tournaments.

Leonardo Jardim will succeed Tite in his position. Jardim resigned for personal reasons, despite having a good season with Cruzeiro, as the team finished the 2023 Brazilian league in third place, nine points behind the champion Flamengo.

Through this appointment, Cruzeiro's management aims to leverage Tite's extensive experience in leading major teams to continue competing locally and achieve technical stability in the upcoming phase.
