Raspadori Wants to Return to Serie A
Tuesday 16-12-2025
Italian media reports have revealed that Italian player Giacomo Raspadori (25 years old) is very close to leaving Atlético Madrid and returning to the Italian league during the upcoming winter transfer window in January 2026.

The international forward is unhappy with his current situation in Madrid due to the limited playing time he has received under coach Diego Simeone. He has participated in only 12 matches since joining last August and wants to secure a regular starting spot to maintain his position in the Italian national team lineup.

Raspadori's attention is turning towards the Italian capital, where the city's two major clubs, Lazio and Roma, are fiercely competing to secure his services. Both clubs believe the player possesses the technical abilities that align well with the coaching styles of their managers, Maurizio Sarri and Gian Piero Gasperini, respectively.

Atlético Madrid, for its part, does not object to the player's departure. The Spanish club is willing to listen to offers but insists on recovering the investment it made to acquire him from Napoli, which amounted to around 22 million euros plus bonuses.

This situation comes after the player failed to adapt to the atmosphere of La Liga and the playing style of "Los Rojiblancos," which has led the management to feel disappointed with his performance so far.
